Paik Nam-sun, MD, PhD, is a director at SM Christianity Hospital Cancer Center Hospital, Pohang, Korea. He is a Seoul-based Surgical Oncologist with 42+ years of experience in the field and became the country's first surgeon who successfully performed the "breast-conserving surgery" in the year 1986. He is the President of The Korean Society of Cancer Prevention and Vice-President of the Korean Cancer Association. He was listed among the global top 100 gastric and breast cancer surgeons in 2006 by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. He has been associated with several international clinical trials with presentations in global conferences and papers in peer-reviewed journals.
