The interplay between obesity, exercise, and cancer risk
Abstract
Obesity is a major risk factor for various types of cancer, and exercise has been shown to reduce cancer risk in obese individuals. However, the interplay between obesity, exercise, and cancer risk is complex and not fully understood. This literature review aims to provide an overview of the current evidence on the relationships between obesity, exercise, and cancer risk. We examine the epidemiological evidence on the relationship between obesity and cancer risk, the impact of exercise on cancer risk in obese individuals, and the complex interactions between obesity, exercise, and cancer risk. Our review highlights the importance of considering the interplay between obesity, exercise, and cancer risk in cancer prevention and treatment efforts. We also identify gaps in the current evidence and provide recommendations for future research directions. Overall, this review provides a comprehensive summary of the current evidence on the interplay between obesity, exercise, and cancer risk, and highlights the need for further research in this area.
